ArmInfo. On the 34th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Artsakh, Azerbaijan demolished the building of the NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs in occupied Stepanakert. This was reported by the Mountains of Karabakh Telegram channel.
"The Azerbaijanis are demonstratively demolishing the building of the Artsakh Foreign Ministry on Artsakh Independence Day - a vile and cynical act," the channel said in a statement, which provided footage of the destroyed building.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani regime bulldozed the buildings of the Artsakh parliament and the "Liberator Warriors" on Revival Square in Stepanakert, and desecrated the Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) Cathedral. Since the occupation of Artsakh, a number of neighborhoods in Stepanakert and entire villages have been demolished.
On September 2, 1991, a joint session of the Nagorno-Karabakh regional and Shahumyan district councils of people's deputies was held, at which the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) was proclaimed.
