Georgian, Turkship, and Azerbaijani FMs sign joint declaration  following their meeting in Istanbul

ArmInfo. The Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan signed a joint declaration  following the 10th trilateral meeting in Istanbul.

"Today, together with our colleagues, we discussed processes  occurring in the region and globally, existing challenges, and  prospects for further strengthening cooperation. We signed a joint  declaration reflecting the main areas of our cooperation," Georgian  Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said at a press conference  following the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Georgia,  Turkey, and Azerbaijan, Georgia- Online reports.

According to the minister, the meeting focused on regional security  and peacekeeping. Bochorishvili noted that Georgia will host the next  trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, Turkey, and  Azerbaijan.

"The 10th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia,  Azerbaijan, and Turkey took place in Istanbul, Turkey. I am pleased  that my colleagues and I had the opportunity to once again reaffirm  the close political dialogue, mutual trust, and strategic importance  of our cooperation between our countries.  Gathered here today are  not just representatives of three states, but partners united by a  common vision of peace, prosperity, and development," she added.

She noted that Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan have been the best  example of successful regional cooperation for many years. "The  success of our partnership is confirmed by numerous important  infrastructure, energy, and transport projects of great significance  for the entire region. I am pleased that today we can appreciate the  practical results of this cooperation. Given the challenges of the  modern international environment, the trilateral format gives us the  opportunity to work in a coordinated manner to advance our common  interests," she continued.

The Georgian Foreign Minister emphasized that special attention was  paid to issues of regional security and peacekeeping. "We  particularly emphasized that sustainable peace and stability in the  South Caucasus are a prerequisite for both the region's development  and international security," the diplomat concluded.
