One Shot International Short Film Festival to be held in Yerevan June  8 to 15

ArmInfo.The One Shot International Short Film Festival will be held in Yerevan from June 8 to 15. This was announced on the festival's Facebook page.

One Shot will screen 109 films. In addition, master classes,  meetings, experience exchanges between artists, and professional  discussions are planned.

The competition program for the One Shot - One Minute category is  expected to feature 51 films. The jury will be chaired by film  director, film scholar, and professor Garegin Zakoyan (Armenia). The  jury members will include film director and XR environment designer  Vahan Khachatryan (Armenia), and film director, screenwriter, and  producer Harut Makyan (Armenia).

The Short Films category will feature 23 films. The jury chair is  Petr Piruncik, the Czech Ambassador to Armenia and translator. The  jury members will include film scholar, actress, and contemporary  dancer Flora Borovik (Ukraine), and documentary film director and  producer Essam Nagy (Egypt).

The Cinema Without Borders competition program, which will screen 21  films, will be judged by journalist, art critic, and media analyst  Nune Hakhverdyan (Armenia).

Fourteen films will be screened outside of the competition program.  According to the source, representatives from 18 countries are  participating in the festival: Armenia, the USA, Germany, Thailand,  Iran, Spain, Italy, Poland, Croatia, India, the UK, Norway, China,  Palestine, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, and France.

The grand opening will take place on June 8 at 7:00 PM at the Yerevan  Cinema House with a screening of renowned contemporary artist Grigor  Khachatryan's short film "Isn't Today the Day?", based on the work of  William Saroyan. The main program of the festival will be held in the  chamber cinema hall of the Open Platform (1 Kajaznuni Street).
