Armenian court re-arrests son of Gyumri mayor, now for three months

ArmInfo.  An Armenian court has ruled to once again arrest Spartak Ghukasyan, the son of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan.

As the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office informed local media,  Spartak Ghukasyan has been re- arrested for three months. "He is  detained under the article covering hooliganism," the Prosecutor  General's Office clarified, providing no further details.

Earlier, Ghukasyan's lawyer, Hovhannes Gharakeshishyan, told Armenian  media that the court hearing was conducted without the participation  of the defense. He noted that the issue concerning pre-trial  detention for the Gyumri mayor's son was scheduled to be reviewed  after two months.
