


ArmInfo.On the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, as well as the people of Georgia and Moldova, as reported by the Kremlin press service.
" The Russian President emphasized that on this day we express our gratitude and respect to our fathers and grandfathers who fought shoulder to shoulder on the front lines and worked tirelessly on the home front, who at the cost of countless sacrifices and hardships, brought closer the long-awaited Victory over the Nazi invaders," the Kremlin reported. In his congratulatory messages to leaders and citizens of foreign countries, the Russian President conveyed his warm congratulations and sincere gratitude to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, wishing them good health, fortitude, and a long life.
In his addresses to the people of Georgia and Moldova, Vladimir Putin urged them to preserve the memory of those harsh war years and pass on to future generations the good traditions of friendship and mutual assistance that bind the peoples of our countries.
