Armenia, Serbia preparing to sign memorandum of understanding on  women`s rights

ArmInfo.  Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan met with Serbia's Minister for Gender Equality, Prevention of Violence against Women, and  Economic and Political Empowerment of Women, Tatjana Matsura.

The parties discussed the results and current state of their joint  work on women's economic empowerment, gender equality, and the  prevention of violence against women.

Speaking about priorities in protecting women's rights, Torosyan  emphasized the importance of ensuring equal pay for women and men,  enhancing the role of the care economy, and promoting women's  entrepreneurship. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to  expand and deepen cooperation in the areas discussed, as well as to  continue work on exchanging experiences and preparing for the signing  of a memorandum of understanding.
