


ArmInfo. On the occasion of International Jazz Day, the Golden Apricot Film Festival is opening the first chapter of the upcoming festival earlier than usual.
According to a statement from the Golden Apricot press service posted on the official Facebook page, the jury for the festival's Regional Program competition will include world-renowned Franco-Lebanese trumpeter, pianist, and composer Ibrahim Maalouf.
It is worth noting that Ibrahim Maalouf is one of the most prominent figures on the contemporary European jazz scene. Born in 1980 in Beirut, he grew up in France in a musical family and received a classical music education. He has gained international renown for his distinctive style of playing the quarter-tone trumpet and his blend of jazz, Middle Eastern influences, and classical music.
Maalouf is also active in the film industry as a composer. He has written music for over two dozen films and regularly collaborates with European directors.
