ArmInfo. Armenia ranks in the top 3 for the number of visits to Georgia in 2025, following Russia and Turkey, as reported by Georgian media, citing data from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that in 2025, a total of 7,829,327 foreign citizens entered Georgia, with 7,797,140 leaving. "In 2025, 2,046,450 people crossed the Georgian border from the Russian Federation, and almost the same number - 2,046,141 - departed. Turkey and Armenia followed Russia with the highest number of border crossings. In 2025, 1,392,698 people entered Georgia from Turkey, and 1,227,507 from Armenia. Israel, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, India, Ukraine, Belarus, and China are also among the top ten countries," the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. It is also noted that during the reporting period, 522,438 entries and 520,275 exits from EU countries were recorded into Georgia.
The importance of understanding that this figure has nothing to do with tourist visits is emphasized. It refers specifically to border crossings, not the number of unique tourists.
