ArmInfo. A criminal case has been launched in connection with the accident involving a Nissan and a police bus on the Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir highway, which resulted in the death of one person and injures to 12 others, as reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
The Committee has officially refuted information circulating online regarding the guilt of the bus allegedly accompanying the Prime Minister's motorcade. "On April 11, 2026, a criminal case was initiated in relation to the traffic accident. The misinformation circulating online claimed that the accident was caused by a police bus belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, an inspection of the scene revealed that a Nissan collided with a Hyundai bus in the oncoming lane. Another misinformation relates to the claim that a police escort bus was following the motorcade of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, which is also not true. The police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were traveling to the Lori region in a vehicle designated for their official duties," the statement reads.
