ArmInfo. In the first half of 2026, the amount of damages recovered in favor of the state,  communities, and organizations in the Shirak Region amounted to 20  million 267 thousand drams. This was stated in a statement by the  Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. This August, both air and ambient temperatures in Armenia will be within the climatic norm. This was announced by Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of the RA Ministry of Environment.

"On July 14,  2026, Judge Varsenik Melkonyan of the First Instance Court of General  Jurisdiction of the Shirak Region of the Republic of Armenia  convicted investigative journalist Lilit Aghekyan.

"We consider the Court of Appeal's decision courageous, given the pressure exerted on the courts," lawyer Ara Zograbyan told journalists, commenting on the court's decision to send Archbishop Mikael Adjapahyan's case back for a new hearing. Recall that the Criminal Court of Appeal, chaired by Judge Edgar Manasyan, partially upheld the defense's appeal. The case was sent back for reconsideration; the house arrest imposed on the clergyman was lifted, but a ban on leaving the republic was left in place.

ArmInfo. The Court of Appeal of Armenia lifted the preventive measure of house arrest imposed on the head of the Shirak diocese, Archbishop Mikael Adjapahyan, while maintaining a ban on travel.

During the investigation of the criminal case initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, it was revealed that several residents of the Shirak  region were paid electoral bribes of varying amounts to vote for the  Armenia bloc, as well as to recruit individuals willing to vote in  exchange for electoral bribes.

ArmInfo. As of 5:00 PM, 1,224,957 out of a total of 2,203,976 voters, or 48.92%, had cast their ballots in Armenia's parliamentary elections. This was reported by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Armenia. 

ArmInfo.  According to a report on an alleged crime received by the RA Investigative Committee on June 5, 2026, Vardan Ghukasyan, head of the Gyumri community in  the Shirak region, acting in conspiracy with other individuals,  carried out preparatory actions in 2025 aimed at seizing power in the  Republic of Armenia by means not provided for by the Constitution.  However, due to circumstances beyond their control, they were unable  to carry out the crime. This was reported by the Investigative  Committee.

ArmInfo.According to information available to the Russian Federation, the leadership of Artik city in the Shirak Province, along with higher authorities, intend to move forward with their plans regarding the memorial dedicated to local citizens who lost their lives in the Great Patriotic War. This was stated on May 28 by Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova during her weekly briefing in response to a question on the matter.
