ArmInfo. Hayk Konjoryan has been elected Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.On August 4, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan has held a phone conversation with Chairman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.

ArmInfo.  The consent of the National Assembly, including opposition deputies, is required for a constitutional referendum in Armenia, as stated by Narek  Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia parliamentary faction, to  reporters on August 4, while commenting on Baku's demands for Yerevan  to adopt a new Constitution.

ArmInfo.  For two days now, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has been making  statements about a more than significant increase in government  officials' salaries and property. This was stated in parliament on  August 4 by Irina Yolyan, a member of the NA from the opposition  "Strong Armenia" bloc.

ArmInfo. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against Avet Konjoryan, the brother of Hayk Konjoryan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of  Armenia from the ruling Civil Contract Party. This was reported to  the media by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

ArmInfo. By decision of the Civil Contract Faction of the Gyumri Community Council of Elders, Shavarsh Aramyan has been elected faction leader, and Edgar  Baghdasaryan, secretary. The faction announced this on its social  media page.

ArmInfo. David Hambaryan will head the Staff of the National Assembly of Armenia. Armenian Parliament Speaker Ruben Rubinyan announced this to journalists during a briefing on August 3, noting that he had already signed the  corresponding decree yesterday.

ArmInfo.The core issue with the speech of the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament of the 9th convocation, Ruben Rubinyan, to the new National Assembly lies in his one-sided interpretation of the causes of the political crisis.  Analyst Tigran Dumikyan expressed this opinion on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo. Hayk Konjoryan, candidate for RA National Assembly Vice Speaker from the ruling Civil Contract faction, believes that his wife Shushan Aleksanyan's salary as director of HayPost is the lowest in the company's history.

ArmInfo. Discussions on the candidacies of three vice speakers of the National Assembly have begun in the Armenian Parliament.

ArmInfo.Edmon Marukyan, leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" party, proposes forming a new opposition platform outside of parliament that will not strike deals  with the authorities and will serve as a genuine alternative to both  the government and the parliamentary opposition.

ArmInfo. On August 3, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced the newly appointed Chief of Staff Lilit Makunts to the staff of the Prime Minister's Office.

ArmInfo. The role of the opposition in the Armenian parliament should be limited to balancing interests, ass stated by Arayik Harutyunyan, MP from the ruling Civil  Contract faction and former Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister,  from the podium of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia  on August 3.

ArmInfo.  Melania Harutyunyan has officially been appointed as the Press Secretary for  Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, following a formal  decision signed by the head of the government.

ArmInfo.  The National Assembly of Armenia observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the Yazidi Genocide in Sinjar. This initiative was  introduced by Rustam Bakoyan, a member of parliament from the ruling  Civil Contract faction, at the first session of the 9th National  Assembly 

ArmInfo.  Yesterday,  RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan, upon the recommendation of the ruling Civil Contract faction, signed a decree appointing Nikol Pashinyan as  Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Hayk Mamijanyan, former deputy of the RA National Assembly,  has announced that he will attend the Etchmiadzin court on August 7 at 4:00 PM,  where a hearing is scheduled for the case of the Catholicos of All  Armenians.  In a statement on his Facebook page, Mamijanyan called  the current situation a national disgrace, for which RA Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan is responsible.

ArmInfo. The cycle has ended, but the struggle continues.  Seyran Ohanyan, former RA Defense Minister and former leader of the opposition "Armenia" faction of the 8th National Assembly, wrote this on his Facebook page. 

ArmInfo. The first session of the National Assembly of Armenia of the ninth convocation will take place on August 2 at 10:00 AM. It will be primarily devoted to the formation of the governing bodies of the new parliament.

ArmInfo.  The Armenian authorities resort to confiscating the property of their political opponents to destabilize and weaken the country from within,  and  make it even more vulnerable. Former National Assembly member Tigran  Abrahamyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
