ArmInfo.  Hayk Mamijanyan, former deputy of the RA National Assembly,  has announced that he will attend the Etchmiadzin court on August 7 at 4:00 PM,  where a hearing is scheduled for the case of the Catholicos of All  Armenians.  In a statement on his Facebook page, Mamijanyan called  the current situation a national disgrace, for which RA Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan is responsible.

ArmInfo. On August 1, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan visited the Meridian Exhibition Center, where preparations  are underway for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP-17), scheduled for this October.

ArmInfo. Arayik Harutyunyan, a representative of Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party, has been relieved of his duties as Chief of Staff to the RA  Prime Minister. The decision was signed by RA Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan. According to the government's press service, the  administrative changes also included the dismissal of Deputy Chief of  Staff Taron Chakhoyan and Press Secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

Two weeks have passed, but the complaint against the illegal imprisonment of Mother Armenia political council member Aregnaz Manukyan, which requires immediate review, has still not been assigned to any judge of the Court of Appeals. The Anti-Corruption Court has granted the Prosecutor General's Office's petition to transfer the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory (owned by businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) - ed.) to the control and preservation of the Republic of  Armenia, as reported to ArmInfo by the press service of the  Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.

Member of the European Parliament Marina Mezure has sent a written request to the European Commission demanding that it ensure the right of forcibly displaced Armenians to safe and unimpeded return to Artsakh, based on  the binding ruling of the International Court of Justice of the  United Nations of November 17, 2023, as stated in a post on the  Artsakh Union's Facebook page.

ArmInfo. July 30, Yerevan - Moody's Ratings has affirmed Converse Bank's long-term deposit ratings at Ba3 and changed the outlook to positive from stable. At the same time, the agency affirmed all of the Bank's ratings, including its ba3 Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) and Adjusted BCA.

ArmInfo. The "Armenia" opposition bloc, led by second  President Robert Kocharyan, has issued a statement sharply  criticizing the court of first instance's decision to keep preventive  measures against National Assembly member Artur Sargsyan unchanged.  The bloc noted in its statement that on July 30, the court once again  rejected defense motions to revoke house arrest for Artur Sargsyan, a  member of parliament for both the 8th and 9th convocations.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Levon Vartan Der Bedrossian, under which the philanthropist intends to transfer to the Republic of Armenia real estate he owns in the community of Garni, Kotayk region, as well as his personal collection, in order to establish a carpet museum in Armenia.

ArmInfo.The first preliminary court hearing in the criminal case against Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II is scheduled for 4:00 PM on August 7 and  will take place in Etchmiadzin (15 St. Gregory the Illuminator  Street, Courtroom 1). Lawyer Ara Zohrabyan announced this on his  Facebook page.
