ArmInfo.  Over the past year, the authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan have taken important and bold steps to make peace tangible for their peoples.

ArmInfo. Not all the problems have been resolved yet, but peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been established. This message was issued by Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan on his Facebook page on August 8, the day the joint "Declaration of Peace" between Armenia and Azerbaijan was signed in Washington.

ArmInfo.  August 8, 2025, is a milestone, and the history of the Republic of Armenia can be divided into the period before and after it. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered this message on his Facebook page on August 8, the day the joint "Declaration of Peace" between Armenia and  Azerbaijan was signed in Washington.

ArmInfo. Approximately 80% of Israeli society who speak out on this issue believes the country should have recognized the Armenian Genocide long ago. Armenian Ambassador to Israel Arman Hakobyan  made this  statement in an interview with Israel's Channel 9.

ArmInfo.The old building of Zvartnots Airport will not be removed from the list of historical and cultural monuments of Yerevan. Deputy Minister of  Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Armen Simonyan announced this to Public TV.

The Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and six bishops - members of the Supreme Spiritual Council, arrived at the Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance of the Armavir region, where the first hearing of the criminal case initiated against them began under the chairmanship of Judge Akop Manukyan.

ArmInfo. The ruling "Civil Contract" faction in the National Assembly of the RA has not yet finalized its decision regarding whether to vote for Aram  Vardevanyan, the opposition candidate for the position of third  Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.  This was announced to  journalists on August 7 by ruling faction MP Sisak Gabrielyan.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Russian and New Nakhichevan Dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church demanded that the Armenian authorities end the judicial prosecution of Catholicos of All  Armenians Karekin II and members of the Supreme Spiritual Council.

ArmInfo. It's crucial to understand that without the ability to implement its fundamental principles, the EAEU will face a crisis. Armenian Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan stated this in Kyrgyzstan during a conversation with  journalists. He called the situation with Armenian goods not only a  problem for the Republic of Armenia but also a major problem for the  EAEU.

ArmInfo.  Azerbaijan dictates numerous preconditions to Armenia, which citizen Nikol P. obediently fulfills. A similar statement was made on the Mother Armenia party's Facebook page by the party's leader, Andranik Tevanyan, number two on the Prosperous Armenia party's electoral list.

ArmInfo. The Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun (ARF) condemned the actions taken by the Armenian authorities and  reaffirmed its full support for the Armenian Apostolic Church and His  Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.  This was stated in  a statement published on the party's Facebook page in connection with  the first hearing of the criminal case against the Catholicos of All  Armenians.

ArmInfo. The Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) expresses deep concern over the persecution of the leadership of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC).

ArmInfo.  In the first half of 2026, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reviewed 1,794 criminal cases of domestic violence (1,482 in 2025), of which 712 were  postponed from 2025, and 1,082 were accepted for review during 2026.  This was stated in a statement by the agency.

ArmInfo.  Armenia consistently advocates adherence to the principles that underlie the Eurasian Economic Union. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this  on August 7, speaking at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian  Intergovernmental Council held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.

ArmInfo. On August 6,  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in a narro-format meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Cholpon-Ata.  During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to cooperation in  various areas within the Eurasian Economic Union.

ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports the  exposure of a new crime allegedly committed by the leader of the  "Prosperous Armenia" party, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, and his  associates.

ArmInfo.The international Docomomo has condemned the initiative of organization the Armenian government to remove the old building of the Zvartnots airport from the State List of Immovable Historical and Cultural  Monuments of Yerevan and terminate its legal status as an object  subject to protection, as noted in the statement issued by the  Armenian representative office of Docomomo, which is engaged in  documenting and preserving the heritage of architectural modernism of  the 20th century.
