The Anti-Corruption Court has granted the Prosecutor General's Office's petition to transfer the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory (owned by businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) - ed.) to the control and preservation of the Republic of  Armenia, as reported to ArmInfo by the press service of the  Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.

ArmInfo. The "Armenia" opposition bloc, led by second  President Robert Kocharyan, has issued a statement sharply  criticizing the court of first instance's decision to keep preventive  measures against National Assembly member Artur Sargsyan unchanged.  The bloc noted in its statement that on July 30, the court once again  rejected defense motions to revoke house arrest for Artur Sargsyan, a  member of parliament for both the 8th and 9th convocations.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Levon Vartan Der Bedrossian, under which the philanthropist intends to transfer to the Republic of Armenia real estate he owns in the community of Garni, Kotayk region, as well as his personal collection, in order to establish a carpet museum in Armenia.
