ArmInfo. Sedrak Arustamyan, the former general director of the "Multi Group" concern, has been detained, as noted in a statement issued by the  Investigative Committee of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Beginning in September 2026, 10,958 first-year students will begin their studies in undergraduate, continuing, and integrated education programs at  public and private universities in Armenia. ArmInfo. July 30, Yerevan - Moody's Ratings has affirmed Converse Bank's long-term deposit ratings at Ba3 and changed the outlook to positive from stable. At the same time, the agency affirmed all of the Bank's ratings, including its ba3 Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) and Adjusted BCA.

ArmInfo. A new case of food poisoning at a public catering facility has been identified in Armenia's Lori Province. On July 27, 2026, the Lori Regional Center of the Food Safety Supervision Authority received a verbal report of food poisoning. A large wedding was taking place at the Lori Peak restaurant in the village of Chochkan.

ArmInfo.  Member of the National Assembly Lusine Badalyan, representing the ruling Civil Contract faction, has been nominated to head the parliamentary standing committee on healthcare.  Badalyan herself announced this to journalists on July 29.

ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office is demanding the confiscation of 22 real estate properties from the second president of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and persons associated with him, 19 of which have an average market value of AMD 11,154,790,000, as noted in a statement issued by the supervisory body.

ArmInfo. During the first half of 2026, a total of AMD 6,666,631,000  was returned to the recovered funds and single taxpayer accounts through criminal proceedings, according to the RA Prosecutor General's Office.

ArmInfo.  The number of serious crimes decreased in the Shirak Region in the first half of  2026, while the number of particularly serious crimes increased, as  reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal  Affairs.  Citing the head of the Shirak Provincial Department of the  Criminal Police, the agency presented the dynamics of specific types  of crimes for the reporting period.

ArmInfo. On Sunday, August 2, on the occasion of the professional holiday of railway workers, the South Caucasus Railway company is introducing ticket  discounts on commuter train tickets for citizens: 100% for children  under 12 years old, and 50% for passengers over 12 years old.

ArmInfo.  The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem expresses deep disappointment over the  removal of the proposed resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide  from the list of issues to be discussed in the Israeli parliament  (Knesset). This was stated in a statement released by the  Patriarchate. 

ArmInfo.Narek Karapetyan, a member of the Strong Armenia bloc's political council, will give up his parliamentary salary in favor of charitable contributions. He announced this in a conversation with journalists on July 24.
