ArmInfo.  The Armenian Cinema Fund reported that the French company Kissani Films, citing an agreement signed in the 1990s, claimed exclusive rights to approximately 250 films that constitute part of the Armenian  cinematic heritage.

ArmInfo.  An Armenian court has extended the pretrial detention of Captain Yeghishe Hakobyan, a defendant in the case involving the fatal fire at a military barracks in Azat village, for an additional three months. The ruling was handed down during today's session by Judge Vardan Harutyunyan, the  Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance of the Gegharkunik  Region.  "Having heard the arguments from both sides, the court has  decided to extend the detention of the accused, Yeghishe Hakobyan,  for another three months," the judge announced during the hearing.

ArmInfo.  The "Wings of Unity" party intends to file a petition with the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) demanding that the recent parliamentary elections in Armenia be declared invalid.

ArmInfo.  Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the opposition "Armenia" parliamentary faction and former Minister of Defense, is currently on medical leave, and a corresponding medical certificate has been submitted to the court. Gegham Manukyan, an MP from the "Armenia" faction, told ArmInfo.  He also stated that it turned out that the government's recent decision  had been a misrepresentation of the required form for medical  certificate. Consequently, the medical note submitted by Ohanyan's  defense attorney did not comply with the new form.

ArmInfo.  Supporters of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) held a protest outside the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) over over what they termed the "theft of votes" required for the political force to enter parliament. They are  demanding the Commission restore justice and hold a repeat vote  at  those polling stations where the results were previously annulled.

ArmInfo. The "Strong Armenia" bloc, led by Samvel Karapetyan, has proposed that the Armenian authorities either hold a second-round runoff or call new  parliamentary elections. The bloc's leader, Samvel Karapetyan, made  this statement to journalists on June 12 outside a courthouse.

ArmInfo.The participation of Russian-Armenians in Armenia's electoral processes is the focus of the country's law enforcement system. RA Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan told reporters on June 12, responding to a question about how many Russian-Armenians participated in the nationwide vote.
