


ArmInfo. The National Erasmus+ Office has resumed its activities in Armenia. According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (MECS), the national office aims to facilitate participation of various beneficiaries and stakeholders in European Commission programs in higher and vocational education, youth, and sport.
The priorities of the Erasmus+ program for 2021-2027 are social inclusion, green and digital transformation, and enhancing youth participation in democratic processes. The program also aims to develop international cooperation through interaction with partner country organizations.
At the opening ceremony, Zhanna Andreasyan, head of the MECS, noted that Erasmus+ programs are crucial for ongoing reforms in higher education and science. She also announced that the office's activities will now cover not only higher education but also secondary vocational education, youth, and sports.
The EU Ambassador to Armenia, Vassilis Maragos, congratulated the opening of the office and highlighted the key role of the Erasmus+ community in Armenia as a link between European and Armenian educational and scientific institutions. He emphasized that investment in human capital is a determining factor in the country's competitiveness and future.
