


ArmInfo. The Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center (RAHRC) held a national competition among units of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia for the title of "Best Gas and Smoke Protection Team."
According to the RAHRC press service, 12 teams representing all regions of the country, as well as the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, participated in the tournament.
This was the first competition of this format in recent years. The tournament program included several stages: extinguishing a fire and evacuating a victim, completing a course in a confined space with zero visibility, and providing first aid.
The Yerevan Garrison team took first place. Second place went to personnel from the Armavir region, and third place went to a team from the Kotayk region. The competition was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Director of the Rescue Service, Co-Chairman of the Board of the Russian Center for Rescue and Emergency Situations (RCHR) Aram Ghazaryan, as well as his deputies Tigran Petrosyan and Arsen Mkrtchyan, who presented the winners with commemorative cups.
The purpose of such competitions is to improve the professional training of rescuers, practice actions in difficult conditions, and strengthen cooperation between units.
