Kocharyan-Karapetyan-Tsarukyan want Armenia to be in the status of a  worthy vassal - Pashinyan

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan insists that the leaders of the "three-headed party," represented by the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, the chairman of the "Strong Armenia" party Samvel Karapetyan, and the head of the "Prosperous Armenia" party Gagik Tsarukyan, "have lived their entire lives as worthy vassals, and now they want the Republic of Armenia, which has finally managed to overcome its status as an unworthy vassal and attain a worthy position, to also have the same status." 

"The three-headed war party, Kocharyan, Karapetyan, and Tsarukyan,  have proclaimed the thesis that the peace established between Armenia  and Azerbaijan is  not valid. How do they justify this thesis? For  example, one of the justifications is that Azerbaijan has invaded the  sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. They are referring to  the events of 2021-2022," he stated during a Facebook live broadcast.

Pashinyan pointed out the fact that, firstly, the invasion occurred  "not because of peace, but because of conflict." "And, by the way,  all previous invasions on both sides occurred not because of peace,  but because of conflict, war," he added.

"And, conversely, it was precisely thanks to the peace agenda and the  peace process that Armenia's sovereign territory was recognized, and,  moreover, this occurred through documents that already have de jure  legal force in Armenia and Azerbaijan," the prime minister  emphasized. "I am referring to the resolutions on the joint  activities of the Armenian and Azerbaijani delimitation commissions,  which were ratified in both countries and now have supreme legal  force. Thus, the document, which states that the Almaty Declaration  is accepted as the main principle of delimitation between the two  countries, recognizes the entire internationally recognized territory  of Armenia. Of course, we have also recognized the sovereign  territory of Azerbaijan," the prime minister said, once again noting  that this de jure confirmation of Armenia's sovereign territory would  occur, while de facto confirmation would occur as a result of the  delimitation process.

Pashinyan noted that these incursions occurred under conditions where  Armenia had de jure guarantees and security assurances, and these de  jure guarantees and security assurances were also confirmed de facto.

Furthermore, the prime minister continued, opposition forces justify  their assessment of "an unworthy peace" by the fact that there are  prisoners and detainees in Baku. "But again, these people were  imprisoned not because of peace, but because of conflict and war.  And, conversely, the continuation of the conflict reduces, if not  makes impossible, their release, while peace increases, if not  guarantees, their release. I am saying quite clearly that, for  example, Vagif Khachatryan's return to Armenia was greeted with great  joy by the public and all of us, but I guarantee that if there had  been no peace process, he would not have returned; this is out of the  question. Therefore, this talk of an unworthy peace is essentially  talk of war," he stated.

It is precisely thanks to peace, Pashinyan insists, that the parents  of soldiers, as well as residents of border settlements, sleep  peacefully at night. Meanwhile, the leaders of the "three-headed war  party: Kocharyan- Karapetyan-Tsarukyan" cannot understand this, since  they sleep peacefully "because their sons either do not serve or had  served in the small center of Yerevan, within the walls of the NSS."  "The fact that for decades, tens of thousands of men felt unworthy  because many illegally exempted their sons from military service,  while they couldn't do so due to lack of money or poverty, and  couldn't look their wives and family members in the eye," Pashinyan  said.

"Do you know what it really means to be unworthy? We entered the  conflict relying on others, at the instigation of others, and allowed  ourselves to be used against others, and as a result, we were used  against ourselves, against our state, our independence, our  sovereignty. This is unworthy," the Prime Minister noted.

"I want to conclude my broadcast with the following conclusion: peace  is dignity, and dignity is peace," the Armenian Prime Minister  concluded.
