ArmInfo. Armenia's National Security Service officers had recently detained three Artsakh Armenians in the village of Kornidzor in the Syunik region for taking several photos and videos against the backdrop of occupied Artsakh, as reported by Artsakh lawyer Roman Yeritsyan on his Facebook page.
According to him, this is not the first such incident in the past few days. According to the lawyer, three Artsakh residents, who were working on construction projects in the village of Tegh and Goris, explained to the National Security Service (NSS) officers that they were simply "longing for their homeland". However, their phones were confiscated, their contents were searched without a court order, they were denied access to a lawyer, and two hours later they were transferred to the police station to face administrative charges.
"They merely took a few photos against the backdrop of the Hakari Bridge on the border with Artsakh. They were expected to be fined, but they were given a warning and released. However, when a high- ranking police official at the station asked why these photos were taken and was told they were "longing for their homeland," he said, 'Just surrender (to Azerbaijan - ed.) and return home to alleviate your homesickness,'" the lawyer said. In this regard, Yeritsyan promised to do everything possible to ensure that sooner or later this man will be held accountable for his actions-his hateful statements and discrimination against the Artsakh population.
The lawyer noted that the incident is garnering attention due to a previous incident in the Yerevan metro on March 22, when an Artsakh woman was subjected to aggressive attacks by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
