


ArmInfo. An employee of the Vanadzor Unified Social Service processed benefits for citizens in exchange for a bribe, the Anti-Corruption Committee reports.
According to the information, a preliminary investigation revealed that an official of the Vanadzor territorial center of the Unified Social Service of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, using his official authority, accepted a bribe for illegal actions, as well as committed document forgery and theft.
Specifically, in 2022, the official in question accepted a bribe equal to one month's benefit from a resident of the Lori region in order to continue payments. In exchange, he failed to record the fact that the latter worked for an LLC and raised cattle, and also drew up and approved a false official report subject to official distribution.
During the preliminary investigation, another similar case was uncovered. As a result, two residents of the Lori region received a total of 786,000 drams in benefits.
The Unified Social Service employee has been charged under Article 435, Part 2, Clause 3 (2 counts), Article 255, Part 2, Clause 2 (2 counts), and Article 445, Part 1 (2 counts) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. He has been arrested.
Charges have also been brought against three residents of the Lori region. The preliminary criminal investigation has been completed, and the case materials and indictment have been sent to the Anti- Corruption Court of the Republic of Armenia.
