Health Minister: The condition of the one-year-old child beaten by  his father`s partner remains critical

ArmInfo.The health condition of the 1.2-year-old child, who was taken to the Arabkir Medical Center after a domestic assault, is assessed as critical. Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan informed on her Facebook  page.

According to her, after experiencing  clinical death and undergoing  resuscitation efforts, the child remains in a deep coma with severe  brain damage. "Medical staff is currently doing everything possible,"  Avanesyan concluded.

As previously reported, the 1.2-year-old child was admitted to the  Arabkir Medical Center in a state of clinical death after a domestic  assault. Doctors were able to restore the child's heart function, but  he remains in critical condition. It was later reported that his arms  and legs were broken. The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has  launched a criminal case against the child's father's partner under  Article 196, Part 2, Item 3 of the Criminal Code (causing severe  physical pain or severe mental suffering) and Article 44-155, Part 2,  Item 3 (attempted murder). At the request of the Prosecutor General's  Office, she was remanded in custody for two months.
