ArmInfo.During 2025, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia recovered 30 billion, 341 million, 581 thousand drams in damages for crimes against economic activity. Deputy Prosecutor General Aram Aramyan announced this at an extended meeting of the Office's Council, presenting a report on the work of prosecutors over the past year.
Specifically, he noted that 15 billion, 463 million, 560 thousand drams were recovered in completed criminal cases. Damages caused to the state were restored in a number of other criminal cases under investigation related to crimes committed by former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Holy See Mikael Minasyan, brother of former Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, family members of former Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Karo Karapetyan, former Members of Parliament Nahapet Gevorgyan and Harutyun Pambukyan, and their family members.
According to Aram Aramyan, the number of cases of interference in the lawful official or political activities of officials has decreased throughout the Republic of Armenia.
The number of these types of crimes has declined steadily year after year. Specifically, 141 cases were recorded in 2023, 111 cases in 2024, and 87 cases in 2025. "The detection rate, as in 2024, was 100%," he emphasized.
Presenting the results of the work carried out by the Department of Crimes against Public Health of the Prosecutor General's Office in 2025, Aram Aramyan reported that during the reporting period, 11 criminal cases were referred to court, charging 24 individuals with drug trafficking for the purpose of sale using the internet, information, and telecommunications systems. The total monetary turnover recorded in the criminal activity in these 11 criminal cases amounted to approximately 5 billion 108 million 634 thousand drams.
