Yerevan Deputy Mayor: The issue lies with  the contractors, not the  bitumen

ArmInfo.The Yerevan Municipality  has no established procedure for compensating drivers  whose vehicles have been  damaged by potholes, as stated by  Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan  at a press conference, in response to reporters' questions.

He noted that 1.1 billion drams had been allocated from the city  budget for pothole repairs. According to Pambukhchyan, work has  already been completed on  sections totaling10,000 square meter,  while the overall plan is to cover 200,000 square meters.

"We don't have problems with the supply of bitumen, but there are  isolated cases of contractors performing their work improperly. We  must receive the quality required by the Council of Elders' decisions  and the current regulations. The issue lies not with the bitumen, but  rather with poorly executed work," Pambukhchyan noted.
