Arman Tatoyan presents three fundamental principles of his political  force 

ArmInfo. Arman Tatoyan, leader of the Wings of Unity initiative and former Armenian Ombudsman, presented three key principles that will underpin his political force's agenda: a strong state, a reliable security system, and a  just country. He announced this at a press conference in Yerevan on  November 26, ahead of the country's 2026 parliamentary elections.

In the area of foreign policy, he emphasized the importance of  strengthening relations with the United States, considering it a  reliable partner. He also stated his intention to reduce the  country's dependence on a single market, particularly Russia, and to  resolve current problems independently. "We must learn to solve our  problems independently, so as not to become a country that cannot  provide for its own needs," he said.

Regarding security, Tatoyan assured that strengthening it will be a  top priority for his political force. He said that if elected, he  plans to establish a commission that will develop a reform program in  this area within six months. "Implementation of this program will  begin immediately, and within five years, we will achieve a balance  of power in security matters with the enemy. I am convinced that only  as a strong country can we achieve true peace," the politician  emphasized.

In this regard, he emphasized the need to double military spending.  According to calculations by Tatoyan's political force, 8% of GDP  will be allocated to security, of which 30-40% will go toward  developing the military-industrial complex. "Meanwhile, these  expenditures currently constitute only 0.53% of GDP, not even 1%.  Moreover, developing this sector will not only ensure the country's  security but will also become a priority for the economy. For  example, through the export of domestic weapons," the initiative's  leader explained.

Tatoyan also announced the economic program developed by his  political force, which will focus on exports and social justice.  Education, high technology, and the rule of law will also be a  priority for his team, the initiative's leader continued. "We will  strive to have a strong education system. Other areas are also  subject to reform," he added.

-At the same time, Tatoyan emphasized the importance of cooperation  with the diaspora on all of the above issues, recalling its enormous  contribution to the country's development. "We will value their  participation and support on all these issues," the politician  concluded.

As a reminder, parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for  June 7, 2026.
