Astana confirms its interest in  TRIPP project

ArmInfo. Kazakhstan is interested in the TRIPP project, as stated by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during a briefing with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Akorda reported.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the importance of  expanding  partnerships in various areas such as industry, transport and  logistics, energy, agriculture, digitalization, and construction. The  emphasis was placed on effectively leveraging the potential of the  transport and transit sector.

"The evolving geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus creates  favorable conditions for expanding bilateral and interregional  contacts. Kazakhstan supports Armenia's Crossroads of Peace  initiative in the transport and transit sector. We also confirm our  interest in taking part in the TRIPP International Route for Peace  and Prosperity project. Connecting these strategic corridors with the  Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and the North-South  Corridor is in the interests of both countries," the President of  Kazakhstan noted.

He recalled that the first shipment of 1,000 tons of Kazakh wheat was  recently delivered to Armenia. "I would like to express my gratitude  to the leader of Azerbaijan for his decision to lift sanctions and  create conditions for direct bilateral trade through his country.  Thus, in November of this year, the first shipment of 1,000 tons of  Kazakh wheat was delivered to Armenia through Azerbaijan. This  initiative is of particular political and economic significance.  Kazakhstan is ready to regularly supply high-quality grain products  and other goods to Armenia. We have agreed to make every effort to  further develop this area. One of the priorities is the opening of  direct air service between the two countries and the organization of  air cargo transportation. Specific plans are already in place in this  area, and the parties will begin implementing them in the near  future," the President of Kazakhstan said.
