ArmInfo. It seems that the Artsakh conflict is a conflict between the country's main "blogger" (RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan - ed.) and the former leadership of Armenia, as noted by Tatevik Hayrapetyan, an expert in Azerbaijani studies, in her Facebook post.
"The man who recently admitted that he rejects the possibility of preventing the war even theoretically, who once declared: "Artsakh is Armenia, that's it," who on May 8, 2018, after being elected prime minister, visited Artsakh for the first time, the one who constantly made such statements, has now become de facto the "cleaner" of the aggressive war unleashed by Azerbaijan, the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of the residents of Artsakh.
He has no issues with Azerbaijan, he is "not interested" in the fact that Azerbaijan has rejected peaceful options for a settlement in various episodes, and hatred towards ethnic Armenians has been promoted at the state level for decades. He is also not interested in the fact that Azerbaijan's attack on Jermuk in 2022 was accompanied by the brutal amputation of the hand of an Armenian female soldier, or that Ramil Safarov is now receiving a pension for murdering Gurgen Margaryan with an axe while he was sleeping. All of this is unimportant, as is the fact that in Azerbaijani schools they currently preach that Armenia is a "historical "Azerbaijan," which was "taken away from them," the expert noted.
She added that these issues are unimportant; what's important are playing war games with former leaders, concealing their actions, and ideologically destroying Armenian statehood at Azerbaijan's behest. These are the authorities' priorities, and they have no interest in Azerbaijan, as "peace" has arrived, although in reality, it's defenselessness in the face of future dangers.
"Just like during the Artsakh conflict, today, the Azerbaijani leadership is openly stating its dangerous and aggressive plans, and the Armenian authorities are challenging the "former" leaders. The main destroyer of the state isn't going to deal with defense matters," she wrote.
