ArmInfo. This year's European Heritage Days are being held under the theme "Heritage and Architecture: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future." In line with this main theme of the European initiative, the Museum of Russian Art in Yerevan has opened an exceptional exhibition, "Home. My Universe." The exhibition features works by Armenian and Russian artists, including M. Avetisyan, E. Tadevosyan, D. Nalbandyan, P. Kuznetsov, and A. Drevin, among others, whose paintings depict houses.
In an interview with ArmInfo, exhibition curator Marina Nurijanyan explained that the theme of the exhibition was not chosen randomly, but rather aligns perfectly with the concept of European Heritage Days. She noted that the exhibition conveys a symbolic message: the importance of remembering one's past and roots, as they are essential for existing in the present.
It is worth noting that the exhibition showcases 18 of the Museum's best works, featuring individual houses and houses within landscapes and geographical settings. These works have been stored away for a long time and have not been previously displayed.
The exhibition will run from September 26 to October 31.
