While Armenian authorities pursue `appeasement policy`, Turkiye and  Azerbaijan are preparing to `swallow` Armenia

ArmInfo.  Turkey and Azerbaijan are preparing to swallow Armenia because there is no resistance from the Armenian authorities, but there is a "policy of  satisfying the enemy's demands" or "policy of appeasement." This was  written on his Facebook page by candidate of historical sciences,  Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan, who presented 5 truths that will be  hidden or disguised by the authorities at any cost in the next 10  months with talk of false peace.

First, according to him, Azerbaijan continues to arm itself at a  rapid pace and in large quantities. According to him, just studying  open sources is enough to understand that the Azerbaijani side is  rapidly preparing for new attacks, and not for peaceful life in the  region.

"Secondly, Azerbaijan is strengthening its military positions in  areas occupied on the sovereign territory of Armenia - in  Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, Syunik. That is, the enemy is not  withdrawing its forces from our borders, but on the contrary, is  strengthening its positions with new engineering structures, turning  them into ideal platforms for a new attack on Armenia," Geghamyan  explained.

Thirdly, as the Turkologist noted, Turkey and Azerbaijan are not only  talking about receiving a route through the Syunik region of Armenia,  but are also carrying out construction work to implement it, most of  which should be completed within the next 3-4 years.

He also drew attention to the fact that in parallel with this, a lot  of propaganda and political-diplomatic work is being carried out, in  particular in Iran and Russia, to challenge Syunik's belonging to  Armenia, which will allow Turkey to legitimize the claims voiced  against it. "Unfortunately, some successes have already been achieved  in this direction," the expert added.

Continuing, he noted that an anti-Armenian policy is consistently  being carried out in Azerbaijan at the state level - from the  propaganda of inciting hatred" to the constant propaganda of "Western  Azerbaijan", that is, the occupation of Armenian territory. "This is  preparation for a new war, not for peace. Turkey is not going to open  any borders or checkpoints, much less take steps that could  strengthen Armenia's position or make it more sovereign. There is  nothing like that and there is no such goal. On the contrary, Turkey  will continue to use the theme of "coming paradise with the opening  of the border" as bait to stun our society and get concessions from  us," the Turkologist explained.

Geghamyan is confident that the de facto government of Armenia needs  no one to talk about these truths in order to maintain its power,  which is waning every day. "These 5 points will not be discussed at  government meetings, on Petros Ghazaryan's TV channel, and those who  speak out against these concessions will be silenced, branded as  "bringers of misfortune" and "warmongers."

But this will not change these realities. We, those who imagine a  happy and free life for ourselves and our future generations in  Armenia, must speak, explain, propagate and fight these realities  through political means, being confident that there are solutions.  And there are solutions against Turkish hostility, and new ones will  be found if such a goal is set," the expert concluded.
