Kiro Manoyan: Armenia`s current government  is not legitimate and  therefore must leave

ArmInfo.  The Armenian authorities are illegal, because after being re-elected, they are still doing the exact opposite of everything they promised before the  elections and included in their program after them.  They are not  legitimate and must leave, as stated by Kiro Manoyan, the head of the  Central office of "Hay Dat" and the political affairs department of  the ARF,  during the international conference "Artsakh: Unresolved  Conflict, Right of Return"  in Yerevan, organized by the Supreme Body  of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun.

He pointed out that what happened in Washington, namely, the  so-called peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan initialed  there, essentially took place under the threat of force. Manoyan  explained that the authorities' statements that a war could start if  Azerbaijan's demands are not met are clear evidence of this. In this  regard, he expressed his conviction that the primary task should be  to provide evidence of the illegitimacy of this government and to  demonstrate that what is being signed by Armenian Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan is not the will of the Armenian people. Additionally,  Manoyan  compared the current situation to having an elephant in the  room, where everyone pretends that there is no elephant in the room. 

According to him, this is similar to what happened in October 2022  (the meeting of the European Political Community in Prague, where  Nikol Pashinyan recognized Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan - ed.),  during the negotiations in Europe, where Azerbaijan did not want to  listen to proposals for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh  conflict. Touching upon the specific actions that need to be taken in  the current situation to ensure the rights of the people of Artsakh,  he noted that, firstly, it is necessary to do everything to  consolidate the national force as much as possible, and only then  work with common efforts to implement the tasks set. Manoyan then  noted the importance of ensuring a decent life for the people of  Artsakh in Armenia, which, according to him, will allow for the  collective protection of their rights in the future. The head of the  Hay Dat office also touched upon the need to keep the issue of the  return of the people of Artsakh on the international agenda, noting  that this path will not be easy. In conclusion, Manoyan stated that  after all of the above, one thing is clear - the current government  in Armenia must leave.
