Ara Abrahamyan`s company is accusing Prosecutor General`s Office of  violating its rights to  a free trial, and PTV of misleading the  public

ArmInfo.  The procedures initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia to confiscate the territory of the building in the center of Yerevan from  the "Soglasie-Armenia" company contradict the RA Law "On Foreign  Investments", as noted in the company's statement. The company's  group of lawyers is also compelled to refer to the report of the  Public Television Company (H1), as it "misleads the public and  continues to serve as a pretext for unfounded speculation, damaging  the company's reputation and inappropriately targeting its owner -  the Chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia and UNESCO Goodwill  Ambassador Ara Abrahamyan".

During the trial, the company presented all the necessary evidence to  confirm the following:  - The plot of 2859.0 sq. m was actually being  used with the right to development and continues to be utilized.  -  The plot was an integral part of a land plot with a total area of  10,000 sq. m. m, with approximately 70% being developed.

Additionally, as noted, several works had been completed.  ,  the lawyers note.  Soglasie-Armenia CJSC  claims   that the company is a foreign investor. Since September 2001, they  have made investments in the Republic of Armenia in the amount  equivalent to about $200 million, including investments in  projects  such as  the building of the department store and  adjacent territories.

, particularly, Article  8.  -    - are contrary to international treaties on the protection  of foreign investments, which prohibit illegal confiscation or  obstruction of foreign investments.  -    - jeopardize the  fulfillment of the international obligations of the Republic of  Armenia.  In the statement, the lawyers draw attention to the fact  that the information disseminated by the Public Television Company  about this process is not true and lacks legal and factual grounds.  Particularly, the H1 report only presents the perspective of the  prosecutor's office. The publication did not contact the legal team  or the press service of Soglasie-Armenia CJSC. The statement fails to  mention the press release distributed by the company regarding the  decision of the Anti-Corruption Court.
