About 140 tons of humanitarian aid  to Artsakh people residing in  Armenia under Russia is With You project 

ArmInfo.  Within the framework of the "Russia is with you" project, about 140 tons of humanitarian aid have been sent to Armenia for the forcibly displaced residents of Artsakh, primarily for socially vulnerable categories. This was  stated on July 31 at a press conference in Yerevan by Russian State  Duma deputy, Chairperson of the Council of the ANO "Eurasia", Alena  Arshinova.

According to her, according to their calculations, at the first  stage, humanitarian aid will be provided to about 30,000 Artsakh  residents. At the same time, Arshinova drew attention to the fact  that among the participants and volunteers there will also be  displaced residents of Artsakh. "It was in conversations with them  that it became clear what the population needs most and what they  need literally every day. Many organizations and volunteers from  Armenia will also take part in the initiative," added the Chairperson  of the Council of the ANO "Eurasia".

In turn, the head of the representative office of the ANO "Russian  Humanitarian Mission" in Armenia, Arseniy Pronin, reported that this  year the initiative begins the practical implementation of the  project today, from July 31.

In this regard, he drew attention to the fact that the organization  is quite deeply involved in the process, since 2020, after the 44-day  war, and before the forced displacement of the entire Artsakh  population, it provided humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh.

"140 tons of humanitarian aid will include essential items: these  will be standardized sets to overcome initial needs. In addition,  there will also be separate sets intended for families with young  children. When forming our target audience, special attention was  paid to vulnerable groups, that is, large families, as well as  families that have lost a breadwinner, where there are disabled  people, as well as single people. As part of the organization of the  process, we managed to form points in those settlements where the  majority of forcibly displaced Artsakh residents live," Pronin noted.

According to him, the first stage will last throughout August and  will start with the Masis community, where it is planned to visit all  the settlements of the city where the Artsakh people live. "Thanks to  the help of volunteers, awareness-raising activities will be carried  out in these settlements so that residents are aware of the  initiatives being carried out. And after completing the work in these  settlements, that is, after completing the first stage, we will  summarize the results, draw certain conclusions and then develop a  roadmap in accordance with which we will act within the framework of  the following initiatives. In other words, after August, it is  planned to continue our campaign," the head of the ANO representative  office emphasized.

According to ANO "Eurasia" volunteer in Armenia Aram Ghukasyan,  anyone who wants to help can join the initiative. To do this,  according to him, it is necessary to follow the "Eurasia" Armenia  telegram channel, as well as the announcements of the organizations  with which they closely cooperate within the framework of this  project. Touching upon the problems that the people of Artsakh most  often face, especially today, he noted that the issue of housing, as  well as the provision of medicines, is primarily on the agenda.  "Despite the difficult situation, the Artsakh youth is participating  in the initiative, raising the main issues and problems that their  compatriots face. The participation of young people in this  initiative is especially noticeable. During the year, ANO "Eurasia"  has already held more than 200 events in Armenia, in which over 9,000  young students, schoolchildren, and activists participated. This  figure shows that the involvement is very high, including from  Artsakh," Ghukasyan summarized.

Recall that on September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan, under the pretext of  an "anti-terrorist operation", committed another act of aggression  against Artsakh. This was preceded by an almost 10-month blockade of  the unrecognized republic. Since the enemy aggression that began in  the fall of 2020, which in September 2023 ended with the complete  ethnic cleansing of Artsakh, over 150 thousand Artsakh residents have  lost their homeland and become refugees.
