ArmInfo. Armenia, represented by the Loom Weaving brand, was presented at Moscow Fashion Week, which took place in the Russian capital from March 13 to 18, 2025, at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall.
The Loom Weaving brand, which was founded by designer Inga Manukyan in 2014, uses national forms, original knitting techniques and color combinations in knitwear - cardigans, sweaters, dresses, scarves, jackets, skirts and headwear. According to the press service of the Fashion and Clothing Chamber (FGC), Manukyan presented her new Urban Boho collection at Moscow Fashion Week (MFW), inspired by the free-spirited boho style.
Having called Moscow Fashion Week a big event for every designer, she emphasized that she is not the first? has been participating in fashion weeks in Armenia and Italy for a year, but participation in MFW is a new opportunity to introduce her brand to Russian buyers. "Armenia has a long and good relationship with Russia, where there are very large opportunities for the development of fashion. Russia is a multinational country, and therefore there has always been an interest in different directions in art and fashion," the designer noted.
In turn, the co-founder and head of the Fashion and Garment Chamber (FGC) team, Elen Manukyan, expressed confidence that international partnership in the fashion sector is very important, since it promotes designers' entry into new markets, exchange of experience in cultural and innovative approaches, and development of a network of contacts. "Such intercultural exchanges allow us not only to present the unique identity of Armenian fashion to the global audience, but also to be inspired by new ideas, styles and working methods. On the Armenian side, we are completely open to any kind of international initiatives, since we believe that only through interaction and exchange of knowledge can we reach new heights in the fashion industry," Elen Manukyan noted. It should be noted that designers from Russia, Spain, the USA, China, India, Tajikistan, and other countries also took part in Moscow Fashion Week.
According to the FGC press service, such a wide representation of different countries and even continents - from Asia to Africa, from Europe to North America - made this international event an influential fashion center, especially important for promoting the fashion industries of developing countries. In addition to shows by Russian and foreign designers, the Fashion Week program included lectures by experts, a professional showroom, and the World Fashion Shorts short film festival. In total, about 200 industry representatives presented their work.
