Such steps turning Armenia into tent camp - expert

This is how Vahe Hovhannisyan, a member of the Alternative  Projects group, commented on the series of high-profile resignations  in Pashinyan's government. 

At the same time, he is sure that what happened should sober everyone  up. "A series of layoffs on a Sunday evening! What, there are no  working days in this country, wouldn't it be Monday? This means that  decisions in this country are made by ONE person, with a very narrow  group and unclear motives. This means that next Sunday evening, let's  say, we can find out that Armenia has left the CSTO with all the  ensuing consequences, or we have asked Turkish President Erdogan to  send troops to Armenia. Is there any guarantee that this will not  happen? Will we still be joking then?" asked Hovhannisyan. At the  same time, he drew attention to the fact that one of the stages of  the liquidation of the state is the discrediting of high- ranking  government positions.

"With such steps, the highest positions of the Republic of Armenia  are devalued to the point of meaninglessness. With such steps, our  state is also being turned into a tent city. Is it necessary to  explain how all this will end?" the expert further asked.

At the same time, he believes that if there had been a strong  opposition in Armenia, there would not have been Sunday's event of  ONE person, since the government felt constrained in its actions.

"I am not interested in those who were fired. I say this because a  strong opposition is an important restraining factor that prevents  fateful decisions from being made next Sunday. A strong opposition is  the consolidation of the National Assembly, the street, influential  circles, different layers of society, influential individuals, and  figures at least on some important issues.

Has anything been done to achieve this goal? No, this has not been  done - everyone involved in this process is waiting for something.  What are we waiting for, the fate of Artsakh? 30 years of statehood  have led to the fact that key decisions can be made on Sunday  evenings, reducing the role of state institutions and procedures to  nothing," Hovhannisyan noted.

The expert stated that the enemy sees this and is developing its own  packages of Sunday decisions.  Hovhannisyan is sure that the "Sunday  States" are very vulnerable. "Many people have a natural question -  what normal person would agree to continue working with this  government, to take up the vacant positions? This is a half-hearted  question, because yes, people who are capable of certain "important  deeds" and who have sworn an oath to certain things are preparing in  advance for "Sunday substitutions".

However, it is very important to note that Sunday dismissals do not  exempt many from responsibility for the lawlessness they committed  during their activities, for playing with the destinies of people and  the state, regardless of whose orders they were made," Hovhannisyan  summed up. 

Late in the evening of November 17, it became known that the Minister  of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan,  Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan, Chairman  of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Argishti Kyaramyan,  Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, as well as Chairman of  the Anti-Corruption Committee Sasun Khachatryan had been dismissed  from their positions. This morning, the head of the Supreme Judicial  Council Karen Andreasyan also announced his resignation.
