Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement could be signed even tomorrow -  Ruben Rubinyan 

ArmInfo.The completion of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan is near. Vice Speaker of  the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan told reporters about this on June 11.

According to him, the document could be signed even tomorrow if Baku  shows a constructive approach.  Rubinyan said that Yerevan's  approaches on two issues have not changed. The first of them concerns  the unblocking of all transport and economic connections in the  region, with the understanding that all infrastructure will remain  under the sovereignty of the countries through whose territories they  pass. The second issue is related to the recognition of the  territorial integrity of states, which is agreed upon between Armenia  and Azerbaijan. This agreement was repeatedly confirmed in Prague,  Sochi, and Brussels. In addition, the same issue was agreed upon  during a meeting of the commissions on the delimitation and  demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani borders. "If all these  principles are reflected in the peace treaty, the document can be  signed very quickly," said the vice speaker, pointing out the  possibility of various scenarios, which he personally would not want  to comment on.

Rubinyan noted that the country's authorities have been doing  everything possible for more than two years to ensure that the peace  treaty is signed. "Work in this direction will continue in the  future, being committed to the peace agenda, but this issue is also  linked to the position of the other side. In our opinion, the  completion of work on the peace treaty is close, and the document can  be signed even tomorrow if Azerbaijan shows a constructive approach.  But if the agreement is not signed, this means that it is not  completely ready yet," said the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly  of the Republic of Armenia.

However, pointing to the latest statements by the leadership of  Azerbaijan, Rubinyan called them unacceptable and aimed at torpedoing  the peace process. Moreover, when it comes to the Constitution of  Armenia, which is an internal matter of the Armenian state and cannot  be the subject of negotiations.
