New Force party ready to support Tavush for Motherland movement 

ArmInfo.The New Force party, led by ex-mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan, is ready to support the Tavush for the Motherland movement. This is stated in Marutyan's statement on his Facebook page in connection with the proposal he received for a meeting from the leader of the movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.

"First of all, I would like to thank the archbishop for the  invitation and am ready to meet with him to convey my respects to  him, and, why not, talk about good and evil, lies and truth, black  and white forces, about the eternal struggle," noted the ex-mayor.

He added that despite the ideological differences with the main  political forces standing next to the movement, and a number of  theses voiced by them, the New Force Party nevertheless positively  assesses every democratic peace process directed against the current  government. "It is a fact that the May 9 rally was the largest since  the popular movement of 2018. It once again proved that Pashinyan's  government has lost all public trust," Marutyan emphasized.

According to him, the position of the RA government, formed following  the results of the 2021 elections, has undergone significant changes  several times regarding the most pressing problem facing the country:   from recognition of the right of the people of Artsakh to  self-determination as a "red line", to complete denial of Artsakh,  from promises of European integration to Astana. "Therefore, any  principle and "red lines" declared by them today do not inspire any  faith. The government, which has violated a thousand and one borders  over the years and abandoned a thousand and one promises, has already  lost the legal right to deal with issues related to the fate of  Armenia. Votes cast for the ruling "Civil Contract" party in the 2021  elections are no longer worth it. Nikol Pashinyan and his team have  nothing more to do, they must leave. At the same time, we are  convinced that the new government in Armenia should be formed only by  the people.  free, equal, general early elections," Marutyan wrote.

The reason for the rallies was the decision to delimitate the borders  between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which the countries adopted at the  end of April. The leader of the protest movement "Tavush for the Name  of the Motherland", Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, said that he would  seek the resignation of the Prime Minister, including through  impeachment in parliament.
