Our struggle is for justice - clergyman

ArmInfo.Participants in the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement began a march to the buildings  of higher educational institutions in the country.

At Yerevan State University, representatives of the protest movement  were greeted with the song "Sardararapat".

Passing cars also greet protesters with long horns.

Speaking to the participants of the impromptu rally, the leader of  the movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, expressed gratitude to  the YSU students who went on strike and joined the protests. He  expressed confidence that students from other higher educational  institutions in the country will join YSU students. Galstanyan  emphasized that students have always been the driving force  protesting against any anti-people actions on the part of the  authorities.

Currently, Armenia finds itself in the position of a country on its  knees, which is reflected in the life of every citizen. The  Archbishop recalled yesterday's rally, which attracted hundreds of  thousands of people.  "This rally is only the beginning of that big  wave that should lead to the victory of our truth. Our struggle is  more than a struggle for territories, it is a struggle for our  national values, for the truth. Unfortunately, the current rulers of  Armenia do not stop sowing for a minute lies and falsifications.  Every second the citizens of the country are presented with another  lie. Our goal and our struggle is the struggle for truth, and the  main carriers of this struggle are the students," the archbishop  emphasized.

He noted that the movement will move in a procession to other  universities in the country. "Students of the Polytechnic University  are waiting for us, after which we will visit other higher  educational institutions.  Calmly, without tension, we will continue  our march, and then in the evening we will meet at Republic Square,"  said the leader of the movement, adding that all the problems of the  Armenian state will be resolved. "We simply have no other  alternative. God bless us. Armenian, Armenia, Motherland, God," the  archbishop concluded his speech.
