Appetite comes with eating: Azerbaijan continues to make new demands  on Armenia and Artsakh

Thus, according to the Azerbaijani media, today a briefing was held  at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry for foreign diplomats accredited  in Baku. Presidential Assistant Hikmet Hajiyev, Presidential  Representative for Special Assignments Elchin Amirbekov and Deputy  Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev addressed the diplomats.

Thus, Azerbaijani officials complained about the Artsakh Defense  Army, expressing dissatisfaction that more than 10 thousand Armenian  military personnel continue to serve in its ranks. They have more  than a hundred tanks and other armored vehicles, more than two  hundred heavy artillery installations, including multiple launch  rocket systems, more than two hundred mortars and dozens of  electronic warfare systems.

In this vein, they began to talk nonsense about Armenia providing  technical, military, logistical and financial support to the Artsakh  Autonomous Region, since this is physically impossible even if  desired due to the total Azerbaijani blockade of Artsakh for almost a  year.

But they didn't stop there, singing an old song about the alleged  mining of Azerbaijani territories.  "Armenia continues to lay new  mines on the territory of Azerbaijan after the ceasefire in November  2020; 2,728 mines produced in Armenia in 2021 were discovered and  neutralized," they said, apparently referring to the mines they  cleared on the sovereign territories of Armenia captured in  Gegharkunik, Syunik and Vayodzor regions of the Republic of Armenia  over the past three years. A little less than 200 sq km of sovereign  territories of Armenia were captured by the Azerbaijanis after the  cessation of hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone in the  fall of 2020.

With this nonsense they tried to justify the establishment of an  illegal checkpoint in the Kashatagh (Lachin) corridor and the  strangulation of Artsakh.

<Despite Armenia's recognition of the sovereignty and territorial  integrity of Azerbaijan, its diplomatic missions accredited to  various international organizations continue to issue documents on  behalf of Karabakh.

Azerbaijan demands that Armenia abandon its revanchist plans, stop  violating the "sovereignty and territorial integrity" of Azerbaijan,  and stop supporting separatism and terrorism in Karabakh.  Azerbaijan  demands the immediate withdrawal of personnel of the Armenian Armed  Forces, the liquidation of military and government apparatuses, as  well as the disarmament of the Armenian Armed Forces "illegally  deployed" in Azerbaijan.
