Public criminal prosecution initiated against Azerbaijani citizens  Aghsin G. Babirov and Hussein A.  Akhundov; they are arrested

ArmInfo.A public criminal prosecution was initiated against Azerbaijani citizens Aghsin G.  Babirov and Hussein A. Akhundov.  

They are arrested.  This is stated in the report of the RA Prosecutor General's Office.  According to  the source, On April 11, 2023, a decision was made to initiate a public criminal prosecution against Agshin Babirov, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan under Article 469, Part 3, Clause 2 and  Article 340, Part 2, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code, for illegally crossing the RA state border by a group of persons with prior consent and illegally transporting firearms and munitions across the RA state  border, hiding from customs control by a group of persons with prior  consent. On the same day, Agshin Babirov was charged by the body  conducting the proceedings. According to the decision of the Criminal  Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan, detention was  chosen as a preventive measure against the accused.

And on April 14, 2023, a public criminal prosecution was initiated  against Azerbaijani citizen Huseyn Akhundov on charges of illegally  crossing the state border of the Republic of Armenia by prior  agreement by a group of persons, hiding from customs control by a  group of persons by prior agreement, and illegally transporting  firearms and ammunition across the state border RA, as well as for  illegal possession and transportation of firearms by a group of  persons by prior agreement to commit socially dangerous acts. The  charge was initiated under Article 469, Part 3, Clause 2, Article  340, Part 2, Clause 1, and Article 335, Part 2 of the RA Criminal  Code. On the same day, Husein Akhundov was charged by the body  conducting the proceedings. According to the decision of the Criminal  Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan, detention was  chosen as a preventive measure against the accused. 

It should be noted that one of the Azerbaijani saboteurs was detained  on the territory of Armenia in the Syunik region on April 9, and the  second one on April 13. Moreover, the second Azerbaijani saboteur,  Huseyn Akhundov, is suspected of killing a civilian on the territory  of the Republic of Armenia - a security guard of the ZCMC. In the  presence of the Azerbaijani saboteur, the phone of the murdered was  found, in which there was a video recording of the detainee, where he  said that he had beheaded an Armenian and that he was a hero of  Azerbaijan.
