Peskov presented the details of the Putin-Erdogan talks, including on  Nagorno-Karabakh

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told what topics were raised by Russian leader Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep  Erdogan during the talks, which took place the day before in Sochi.  According to the Kremlin spokesman, the dialogue was very  constructive, timely and necessary.

Thus, first of all, the leaders discussed bilateral relations. Peskov  noted that in 2020, relations between the countries in economic terms  "sagged in terms of trade by more than 20%," but in the first 8  months of this year, they "grew by 55% in the joint trade and  economic turnover." The press secretary of the President of the  Russian Federation stressed that this is a good dynamic, which once  again confirms the very good potential in trade and economic  cooperation between the states.

"Attention was drawn to the mutual restrictions that remain. These  are additional import duties that apply in Turkey to a number of  metallurgical products, plywood, tires. Putin raised this topic in a  conversation with Erdogan," Peskov added.

Military-technical cooperation between the two countries was also on  the agenda. The presidents also discussed issues of Syria,  Afghanistan, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh.

"The Russian side emphasized that the parties should look for  compromise solutions on border delimitation and on the development of  transport infrastructure. The presidents agreed to work out this  topic and hold it to the Supreme State Council by the end of the  year'',  Peskov pointed out when talking about Karabakh.

The Kremlin spokesman also said that the leaders of the two countries  discussed gas affairs, including the supply of fuel. It is noted that  Putin highly appreciated the timely and very effective decisions of  the Turkish leadership on the Turkish Stream.

"The correctness of these actions is shown by today's reaction. We  see how the European market is in a fever, and Turkey feels itself  secured and insured against a spasmodic conjuncture," Peskov said,  reports life.ru.

Also, according to the press secretary of the Russian leader, Putin  and Erdogan discussed the issue of cooperation in the field of  nuclear energy in Turkey, in particular, the schedule for the  continuation of construction and completion of the first power unit  of the Akkuyu NPP, and in addition, the possible construction of new  units. During the talks, the presidents also touched upon the topic  of interaction in the field of outer space.

The issue of cooperation in the field of agriculture was also raised.  Peskov noted that Russia supplies Turkey with a very large amount of  grain crops, and receives tomatoes and cucumbers.  The presidents  also discussed the issue of tourism between countries, the topic of  vaccinations, and revaccinations. The Kremlin spokesman noted that  earlier in the public domain, part of Putin's story had already  appeared, who told Erdogan that the Sputnik V vaccine had proven its  effectiveness, the Russian leader had personally tested it.

To recall, the negotiations between Putin and Erdogan took place  yesterday, September 29 in Sochi. They lasted almost three hours.
