Moscow presented the agenda of the Mirzoyan-Lavrov talks

ArmInfo. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that during the talks at the Russian Foreign Ministry it is planned to discuss the whole range of issues of bilateral cooperation, foreign policy interaction through the EAEU, CSTO and CIS, coordination of positions in the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and other international forums.

<There will be a substantive exchange of views on international and regional topics. The progress in the implementation of the Plan of Consultations between the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Armenian Foreign Ministry for 2020-2021 will be considered.

One of the key topics of the meeting will be consideration of the whole range of issues related to the implementation of the agreements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia dated November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. Humanitarian problems in Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent regions, the situation in the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the process of unblocking economic and transport links in the South Caucasus>, the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry reads.

It also states that the visit will be a logical continuation of the rich Russian-Armenian political dialogue, focused on the further development of close cooperation between our countries in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields, including taking into account the new realities that have arisen in the region after the end of hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Effective foreign policy coordination has been established between Moscow and Yerevan on the main issues of the global and regional agenda, within the framework of universal and specialized international organizations.

Relations between the two countries are based on the principles formulated in the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia dated August 29, 1997 and the Declaration on Allied Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia, oriented towards the 21st century, dated September 26, 2000. The parties signed about 200 contracts. The practical implementation of these documents made it possible to impart a qualitatively new character to bilateral cooperation, to make it balanced and forward-looking.  An intensive dialogue at the highest level sets the positive dynamics for the Russian-Armenian allied interaction.
