ArmInfo. Armenian government program for 2021-2026 contains serious risks. This is stated in a joint statement of the opposition "Hayastan" ("Armenia") and "I Have Honor" blocs. Earlier today, the National Assembly adopted the program of the Government of Armenia. 70 lawmakers voted "for" the adoption of the program, no one voted "against" or "abstained". Opposition factions - "Hayastan" and "I Have Honor" did not take part in the voting, leaving the meeting room.
Opposition factions in a joint statement noted that on August 24-26 the National Assembly discussed and "the ruling force adopted the so-called government program, which did not contain practical solutions to existing urgent problems, moreover, contained serious risks." "During the discussion, a number of issues of public concern were raised, to which mainly the authorities gave false, manipulative or evasive answers.
Moreover, on August 25, open hooliganism against the members of the opposition faction, planned by the ruling group, took place.
It should be noted that the competent authority, obliged to prevent hooligan antics, deliberately delayed measures to suppress them. The scuffle took place on the part of the ruling force during an exchange of views in order to once again establish a dictatorial regime even in parliament. Having familiarized ourselves with the message spread in the Prosecutor General's Office, we note that, as before, in this case, not a single representative of the ruling group was subjected to any fines or criminal liability.
It is worth noting that the document, which should be a state program, literally said that the courts, prosecutors and investigative bodies "must ensure that the government fulfills the mandate received from the people," in other words, the abolition of the independence of law enforcement agencies is a programmatic provision.
Let us fix that this government, headed by Nikol Pashinyan, bears full responsibility for the current disgraceful state of the interstate road in Syunik, as well as for the impudent, criminal act with possible disastrous consequences that took place in the National Assembly, "the authors of the statement noted.
To recall, on August 18, the government approved its program of activities for the next 5th anniversary, in which it fixed a number of goals. The program consists of 6 sections: security and foreign policy, economics, infrastructure development, human capital development, law and justice, institutional development. The document was presented to parliament on 24 August.
