Hayastan All-Armenian Fund implements reconstruction programs worth  about 30 billion drams in Artsakh

ArmInfo. On August 5, the President of Armenia, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Armen Sarkissian held a working  conversation with the Fund's Executive Director Haykak Arshamyan.

As reported by the press service of the RA President's Office,  Arshamyan presented to the President the process of reconstruction  programs worth about 30 billion drams, implemented by the Fund in  Artsakh.  Programs include the reconstruction of community and state  roads, the renovation of schools, the construction of a water supply  network, and large-scale housing construction.

It was noted that at the first stage of housing construction, it is  planned to build 817 apartments and 290 private houses. Some of them  will be commissioned in Stepanakert, in the Ivanyan community by the  end of the year, providing shelter for 457 families displaced from  Shushi to Hadrut.

President Sarkissian also discussed with the Executive Director of  the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund the issues related to the programs,  which will be launched in Syunik region in September. After the  President's working visit to Syunik region in April, on behalf of the  head of state, representatives of the All-Armenian Fund visited the  region, held meetings with residents and representatives of local  self-government bodies.  As a result of discussions and needs  assessment, a program of priority problems of the communities of  Syunik region was drawn up. The $ 1 million program will be launched  in September and will be implemented in stages by joint efforts of  the President's Office and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, and  partially with the financial assistance of the President's Office.

Noting that security, economic and social assistance to the  communities of Artsakh and Syunik is a priority, Armen Sarkissian  said that it is necessary to make every effort and resources to  support communities and compatriots who need it. Attaching importance  to the implementation of these programs, with strict adherence to  deadlines, the President expressed his satisfaction with the current  state of work.

Haykak Arshamyan also informed President Sarkissian about the  progress in implementing the decisions of the meeting of the Board of  Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
