ArmInfo. Baku's attempts to avenge the failure at the border will continue. A similar opinion was expressed to ArmInfo by the head of the department of Eurasian integration and development of the SCO of the Institute of the CIS  countries, military expert Vladimir Evseev.

On July 21 at 22.30 a special forces unit of the Azerbaijani Armed  Forces launched another attack on the Fearless stronghold. The  Armenian Armed Forces repulsed the enemy's attack, inflicting  significant losses on him. There are no losses on the Armenian side.  "In my opinion, such attempts will find their continuation already on  the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh. As part of its long-standing  course, Baku may well try to seize part of the" security belt. "In  this light, the military-political leadership, the Armenian Armed  Forces need to be extremely careful and readiness for such actions of  Azerbaijan ", - he stressed.

The hostilities that began on July 12 on the Armenian-Azerbaijani  border, Yevseyev, characterizes as a natural result of the  Azerbaijani provocation. The mortar shelling of the Armenian Armed  Forces post, according to his estimates, is evidence of the  inadequate nature of this provocation. The purpose of the  provocation, in the expert's opinion, could be to divert the  attention of the Azerbaijani society from internal socio-economic and  other problems to an external enemy. The Azerbaijani provocation,  according to the expert, was due to the lack of demarcation of the  border with Armenia. This very circumstance allows Baku to assert  that they acted exclusively on their territory. At the same time,  Evseev is convinced that it will not come to large-scale hostilities  on the border with Armenia, since in this case a joint  Armenian-Russian military group will be forced to intervene in the  situation.

On July 12, Azerbaijani servicemen attempted to violate the state  border with Armenia in a UAZ vehicle.  After a warning from the  Armenian side, they, leaving the UAZ, freely returned to their  positions. An hour later, artillery fire was opened from the  direction of Azerbaijan and an attempt was made to seize the Armenian  stronghold. Azerbaijani servicemen were thrown back from their  positions with return fire, having suffered losses in manpower.

To date, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have lost more than 20 people  killed, the number of wounded has not been reported. Three tanks were  destroyed, 13 drones were shot down and captured, the combat  positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces were taken. From the  evening of June 14, the situation on the border was relatively calm,  however, on the night of July 15-16, at 03.40, the advanced units of  the Armenian Armed Forces, noticing the enemy's movement and going  over to a circular defense, stopped an attempt at sabotage  penetration. After a fierce battle, the enemy was thrown back with  losses. In recent days, the situation on the border has been  relatively calm and is only disturbed by the shelling of Armenian  positions from small arms.
