Violators of self-isolation due to coronavirus can be prosecuted in  Armenia

ArmInfo. On March 12, under the chairmanship of RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan,in the Government a meeting to coordinate the work to prevent the spread  of coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia was held.

During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of  preventive measures, the economic impact of the virus, as well as  possible changes in the situation were discussed. It was decided that  citizens who will arrive from Italy to Armenia on Sunday, March 15,  will be quarantined for 14 days.

The Ministry of Healthcare of the RA was entrusted with the Ministry  of Justice to propose options for the application of responsibility  in relation to violators of the home self-isolation regime.

Avinyan instructed to tighten preventive medical measures in all  government departments.

To recall, the number of confirmed cases of patients with coronavirus  in Armenia increased by three people and reached four. Of the three  new cases, two are infected - citizens of Armenia (45 and 27 years  old), and one more - a citizen of Italy (51 years old) working in our  country. All of them arrived in Armenia from Italy. Two citizens have  no health complaints, but the third has fever and right-sided  pneumonia.  Earlier in the country, only one confirmed case of  coronavirus infection was detected. The 29-year-old citizen arrived  Armenia from Iran on February 29. The patient feels well. In total,  57 people were isolated.
