Survey: Most citizens connect the resignations of Arthur Vanetsyan  and Valery Osipyan with the prime minister`s dissatisfaction with  their work

ArmInfo. Most citizens connect the resignations of Arthur Vanetsyan and Valery Osipyan with the dissatisfaction of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with their work. This is evidenced by the results of polls conducted by MPG-Armenia (a full member of the Gallup International Association).

As MPG-Armenia director Aram Navasardyan said at a press conference  on December 23, 30.6% of respondents spoke out in favor of  Pashinyan's dissatisfaction with the work of former head of the  National Security Council Vanetsyan. 18.8% of respondents believe  that Vanetsyan resigned because of disagreement with the prime  minister, 10.5% explained this decision by his desire to start  independent activities, 6.5% explained Pashinyan's fears about  Vanetsyan's high rating. At the same time, 23.9% rated his  resignation positively, and 24.8% - rather positively.

In the case of former RA Chief of Police  Osipyan, 33% of respondents  believe that the resignation was connect with Pashinyan's  dissatisfaction with his work, 20.6% - disagreements, 4.8% explained  this by the September meeting of the Prime Minister with  representatives of "Sasna Tsrer". 22% of respondents rated his  resignation positively, and 25% - rather positively.

As for the situation surrounding the Constitutional Court, when the  highest level was said about the unhealthy environment prevailing in  the Constitutional Court, 39.9% of the respondents said that the  actions of the authorities were caused by a desire to form a credible  court. Meanwhile, 16% consider these steps to be political  persecution of  head of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan.   The survey also touched upon the presence or absence of political  prisoners in Armenia. 48.2% of respondents said that there are no  political prisoners in Armenia, 29.2% - that they are, and 22.5% -  found it difficult to answer. Of the above 29.2% of respondents,  14.5% said that former President of the Republic of Armenia Robert  Kocharyan is the political prisoner, 3.5% found thah members of  "Sasna Tsrer" are prisoners, about 2%-former MP Manvel Grigoryan,  1.4% sentenced to life imprisonment on October 27, 1999 Nairi  Hunanyan, 0.1% - ex-head of the State Revenue Committee Gagik  Khachatryan.

During his visit to Yerevan on October 1 of the current year, Russian  President Vladimir Putin met with Robert Kochayyan's wife, Bella  Kocharyan. Assessing this meeting, 44% of respondents agreed that it  should be regarded as an alarm to the authorities about Putin's  disagreement with the arrest of Kocharyan, 

The MPG-Armenia polls also touched upon the issues of the country's  social and economic life. So, summing up the data obtained, the most  worrying for society from the point of view of environmental problems  are the mining industry, deforestation and the condition of  landfills. Meanwhile, 16% of respondents positively appreciated the  statement made earlier by Pashinyan that at the moment the Armenian  government has no reason to ban the operation of the Amulsar mine.  26.7% of respondents rated this statement rather positively, 19.1% -  rather negatively and about 20% - negatively. Respondents also  appreciated that in the fall, a plane was leased for Pashinyan's  visit to the United States. This step was approved by 42.5% of  respondents, while more than 45% said that the existing presidential  board should have been used for these purposes. The survey was  conducted from November 9 to December 1 of this year in Yerevan and  10 regions of Armenia among 1,517 people.
