Ameriabank financed economy of Armenia for 2007-2018 with more than $  4.5 billion (video)

ArmInfo. Ameriabank placed loans for more than $ 4.5 billion in the economy of Armenia for 2007-2018. Of this amount, $ 674 million accounted for financing of SMEs. As the press service of the bank told ArmInfo, in total the average y-o-y  growth in lending to the economy amounted to 39.5%, while the SME  sector in particular - 41%. During this period, over 1.2 billion  drams were directed to export financing by the bank.  The share of  Ameriabank loans in Armenia's GDP grew from 2007-2018 from 0.18% to  5.07%.

In the 10 years under review, Ameriabank has financed over 250 new  projects in the amount exceeding $ 1.5 billion. This has enabled the  creation of 10 thousand jobs. In particular, $ 175 million was  provided for the construction of 75 renewable energy power plants, $  150 million - for the creation of greenhouses. In addition, 50  export-oriented manufacturing companies were financed, and more than  100 other projects.  The volume of funds attracted by Ameriabank for  2007-2018 amounted to $ 1 billion, in particular, loans from the  international financial institutions for $ 220 million were  attracted.

Ameriabank is no less active in retail lending. The share of the bank  in total retail loans of the market grew in 2007-2018 from 0.09% to  9.29%.

The branch network of Ameriabank has 18 divisions, of which 11 are  located in Yerevan and 7 in the regions of Armenia.  The number of  regional customers of Ameriabank reaches 22 thousand. In the regions  of Armenia, the bank provided over the past 10 years corporate loans  for $ 900 million and retail loans for $ 100 million.

According to the Financial Rating of Banks of  Armenia, as of January  1, 2019, prepared by ArmInfo IC, Ameriabank increased its assets for  2018 by 15%, credit investments - by 12%,  maintaining the leadership  by the absolute value of these  indicators. In corporate lending, the  1st position was also entrenched for Ameriabank, with an increase in  the volume of 2018 by 5.7%. But in terms of retail lending, the y-o-y  growth was much higher - 65.3%, with a rise in volume to the 4th  position, which indicates the bank's intentions to become a leader  here.

The bank is one of the leaders in lending to the industrial sector  (including the energy complex), agriculture, the construction sector,  trade, transport and communications, catering and services, mortgage  lending. Bank is also a leader in lending to SMEs. But the main  concentration of credit investments of the bank falls on the  industrial sector and trade. The net profit of the bank increased in  2018 by 37.3%. Ameriabank retains lead on demand liabilities - $  429.5 million, taking the 3rd position on term deposits - $ 395.4  million. On deposits of individuals (term and demand), Ameriabank  occupies the 2nd position - $ 403 million (with an annual growth of  7.8%). By total liabilities, Ameriabank holds the lead - 690 billion  drams ($ 1.5 billion, with an annual growth of 13.5%). In the  structure of the bank's liabilities, the share of funds raised from  international financial institutions accounts for about 30% or 205.4  billion drams ($ 424.5 million, with an annual growth of 20%) - this  indicator also holds the lead.
