Sasun Khachatryan: Vitaly Balasanyan is not the person who can give a  legal assessment of the actions

ArmInfo.The head of the Special Investigation Service of Armenia Sasun Khachatryan does not consider that Secretary of the Artsakh Council of the Artsakh Vitaly  Balasanyan is the person who can give a legal assessment of the acts.

"If he is ashamed, then I leave it on his conscience, but if he is a  serious lawyer, I invite him to come. If he considers himself a  serious lawyer, we will sit down and discuss from a legal point of  view," said Sasun Khachatryan in an interview on January 28,  commenting on the comment of Vitaly Balasanyan, who stated that the  statement of the head of the SIS, that the military serviceman of  urgent service Tigran Abrahamyan was killed by members of the special  forces in order to introduce an emergency, is shameful.

When asked what the head of the investigative body thinks about the  words of the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh that the  charges of overthrowing the constitutional system against the second  President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan are ridiculous, Sasun  Khachatryan said: "Do you want me to comment on the words of Vitaly  Balasanyan? With regard to legal assessments of actions, I don't  think that Vitaly Balasanyan is the person who can give a legal  assessment of the actions. "

Yesterday, Artsakh Security Council secretary of Artsakh Vitaly  Balasanyan commented on a criminal case about the events of March  1-2, 2008, in an interview with journalists in the Yerablur military  pantheon.  Balasanyan called the accusation against Robert Kocharyan  ridiculous. "This is the same as if Nikol Pashinyan topple the  constitutional order today in order to remain prime minister. This is  a little ridiculous.  A force that is not in power can overthrow the  constitutional order. - Balasanyan wonders. Speaking about the secret  order No. 0038, which lies at the basis of the accusation against  Kocharyan, Balasanyan said that there is no mention of involving the  army in political processes. At the same time, Balasanyan called it disgraceful  the statement of the head of the SIS that the murder of a soldier  Tigran Abgaryan was organized in order to impose a state of emergency  in the country. In his opinion, those who make such statements will be in  an even more unfavorable position by the end of the investigation.  When asked who would answer for the death of 10 people during those  events, Balasanyan advised not to hurry and wait for the court  decision. As for the case against Seyran Ohanyan and other  high-profile cases initiated recently, Vitaly Balasanyan noted: he is  not familiar with these cases and cannot say anything.
