Zhirayr Sefilyan: The former government and the Kremlin are trying to  drive a wedge between members of the ``Sasna Tsrer`` party and Nikol  Pashinyan

ArmInfo.The co-founder and member of the ''Sasna Tsrer'' party, Zhirayr Sefilyan, believes that today many are trying to drive a wedge in the relations between them  and Nikol Pashinyan. "I want to clearly state to the Armenian people  - we are in very good neighborly relations with Nikol Pashinyan,"  said Sefilyan on November 28 at a meeting with voters in Echmiadzin.

According to him, the people should understand that the mission of  the all-Armenian ''Sasna Tsrer '' party in the future parliament is  to form a counterbalance to the ruling majority. The involvement of  the ''Sasna Tsrer'' members in the work of the legislature is also  intended to prevent the political forces responsible for the events  of March 1, 2008 - "RPA, serving its interests of the 'PA, OEK and  ARFD" from entering the parliament.

Zhirayr Sefilyan said that the candidates for deputies from ''Sasna  Tsrer'' refused to meet with the Head of Police Valery Osipyan.  First, as the co-founder of the party believes, this is utterly  absurd. "What is the business of the police chief to give lectures on  the legal consciousness of candidates? The meetings of police chief  Valery Osipyan with rating candidates are manifestations of political  immaturity," he said.

At present, according to Zhirayr Sefilyan, the former government and  the Kremlin are trying to drive a wedge between members of the  ''Sasna Tsrer'' party and Nikol Pashinyan.  As for the statement of a  member of the election block "My Step" Sasun Mikaelyan that the  victory of the people in the revolution is more important than the  Artsakh war of liberation, then, according to Sefilyan, one should  not speculate on a mistake in the formulation. "In this sense, Nikol  Pashinyan is right in saying that speculators should sit silently in  their seats," he noted.

To note, on November 26, Varyuzhan Avetisyan, who heads the ''Sasna  Tsrer ''party's national list, stated that the party's leadership  believes that the coming two years seem to be transitional for  Armenia, therefore, after this period, new extraordinary  parliamentary elections should be held in the republic . In response,  Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the election campaign in  Artik called them to "settle down". "Have you really decided that you  have the right to decide how much a parliament should exist, and in  some cases even determine the life expectancy of people?! I say, do  not confuse the coast. This is not Serzh Sargsyan's weak and  spineless power," said Pashinyan . He called on Sasna Tsrer and all  the others not to accept the smiles and good breeding of the  representatives of the bloc for weakness. "There have already been  similar precedents, and those who thought so were on the asphalt. I  do not advise anyone to follow this path, no matter who he is,"  "stressed the Acting the prime minister.

"The next parliament will be legitimate, and it will be valid for as  long as the law requires, unless the residents of Armenia decide  otherwise," Pashinyan stressed. The ''Sasna Tsrer'' party reacted to  such a harsh reaction, noting "the leader of the ''My Step'' bloc  Nikol Pashinyan, in a statement addressed to the leadership of the  ''Sasna Tse''r party, made baseless statements, statements containing  threats and offensive implications." Representatives of the party  expressed the hope that at the first opportunity, the Acting the  prime minister will clarify his words.
