Zara Amatuni: ICRC is ready to act as a neutral intermediary in the  exchange of prisoners, subject to the consent of all interested  parties

ArmInfo. The International Committee of the Red Cross is ready to act as a neutral intermediary in the matter of the exchange of prisoners, subject to the consent of  all parties concerned. Zara Amatuni, head of the communication  programs of the ICRC delegation in Yerevan, said this in an interview  with ArmInfo correspondent.

At the same time, she recalled that the ICRC continues, in accordance  with its mandate, to regularly visit all those detained in connection  with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

On the eve, and. Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan, answering a  question from journalists about a possible exchange of prisoners of  war with Azerbaijan, stressed that the Armenian side does not have  Azerbaijani prisoners of war. At the same time, he added that Armenia  did not receive an official offer from Azerbaijan on the exchange of  prisoners.

Recall that at present three citizens of the Republic of Armenia are  in captivity in Azerbaijan - Arsen Baghdasaryan, Karen Ghazaryan and  Zaven Karapetyan. In the conclusion of the Armenian side there are  two Azerbaijani saboteurs Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev, as well  as a soldier Elnur Huseynzade, who also participated in sabotage  activities.
